  • How long does it take for ColdBuster™ to work?

We created ColdBuster™ based on studies that show supplements in liquids act faster than those taken in solid form. When you take a pill, it needs to be broken down in the digestive system to release its active ingredients. This process may or may not be fast depending on the type of pill coating used - and a portion of the ingredients can be lost during this breakdown step, especially if they are not readily soluble in the stomach. In the case of ColdBuster™, the active ingredients are all liquid soluble. When you drink ColdBuster™, the ingredients don't have to break down or dissolve in your stomach - they are already available. This ensures you absorb the maximum doses of ColdBuster™'s ingredients as rapidly as possible, giving the boost you need quickly! [Schrauzer 1998, p208D, Yetley 2007, p274P]

  • Why is ColdBuster™ in a small bottle?

We packaged ColdBuster™ in small, light-weight, durable bottles to help people on the go. The bottles are small enough to fit into your pocket, purse or pack, but big enough for you to find. ColdBuster™ packs a lot of punch in a small bottle!

  • What scientific back-up is there for ColdBuster™?

ColdBuster™ has been issued a Natural Product Number by the Minister of Health based on the effectiveness of its active ingredients. Over the last century, extensive research has been done on ColdBuster™'s individual ingredients and these studies have been published in reputable scientific journals.

Vitamin C is involved in the breakdown of proteins and fats and has been shown to play a critical role in immune function and wound healing. It's an important antioxidant and it also improves the absorption of iron from the diet.

Vitamin B6 helps the body make use of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. It's required for the proper function of both the immune system and the brain, as well as for the functioning of red blood cells. Most importantly, it's needed by more than 100 enzymes involved in protein metabolism.

Like vitamin B6, vitamin B12 helps with carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism in the body. It's required for proper brain function and for the formation of DNA and red blood cells.

Zinc is an essential mineral for the body. Like the B vitamins, it's needed for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and it's also required for the function of nearly 100 enzymes. Zinc plays an important role in immune function, wound healing and in the formation of proteins and DNA. Finally, zinc is needed to maintain healthy skin and the senses of taste and smell.

Together, this cocktail of nutrients is a powerful way to maintain good health!

More information on ColdBuster™'s active ingredients is available from Health Canada and the National Institutes of Health.

  • Does ColdBuster™ contain high-fructose corn syrup?

Intake of high-fructose corn syrup, a sugar substitute in processed foods and beverages, is a growing concern in North America. Several studies have linked the use of high-fructose corn syrup to the increased rates of obesity, diabetes and other diseases associated with the metabolic syndrome [Bray 2008, pS127A, Angelopoulos 2009, p1243SB]. ColdBuster™ is not sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup. It's sweetened with natural honey flavour and cane sugar.

  • Why is ColdBuster™ different from other immune boosting products on the market?

Most cold and flu products currently on the market are in the form of pills. Unlike its competition, ColdBuster™'s formula is delivered in liquid form that tastes great. Its innovative liquid delivery system allows for nutrients to be more readily available for absorption and distribution in the body [Schrauzer 1998, p207C, 208D].
